"For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. "
Proverbs 2:6
Sometimes its easy for me to turn to my own wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, especially when it comes to being a homemaker. I find myself googling answers to questions I may have, or phoning or face-booking a friend. Not that those things are bad, however The Lord giveth wisdom.
We are told in James that when we ask in faith not wavering he will give it to us liberally, he will not with hold his wisdom from us. I find such comfort in that and to know that out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. In Hebrews we are told that we have a High priest who sympathizes with us and was tempted in all ways like we are and yet was without sin.
What a comfort to know that Jesus who is wisdom from above has knowledge about what we as humans go through and he understands and sympathizes with us. He is not some far away God who laughs, mocks, or cant relate to our daily struggles.
But rather we are told because of Jesus we can come boldly to the throne of God and make our requests known to him. I am thankful that The Lord giveth wisdom. He has giveth to us Jesus. Who is made unto us wisdom and we have the blessed knowledge of righteousness, sanctification, and redemption through Jesus and we are of Him! What a comfort. So whatever is troubling you today remember that The Lord gives and has given to us wisdom He has given to us Jesus and the the Holy Spirit who comforts us.
