The next time you are at the Grocery Store be sure to look at the dates of the things your purchasing if it is close to expiring ask the manager to mark it down for you.
This often works with all dairy products and meat products. I have also asked for mark downs on over ripe fruit or bruised fruits/veggies. This saves me at least $10 each grocery trip. Just Ask! You just never know....
