Wacky Wednesday with Do it yourself Sidewalk CHalk

SIDE WALK CHALK DO IT YOURSELF

  1. Add 2-3 tbsp of water to a small bowl
  2. Add to that 3-4 tbsp of plaster- powder (you can find this at craft stores) or cornstarch works too
  3. Add 1/2-1 tsp tempura powdered paint (or 6 – 8 drops of food coloring)
  4. Mix well
  5. Add a few drops of water if mixture is too dry
Mix and match colors, create your own colors, let your children have fun and explore mixing colors they will love it.

Once you have all the ingredients combined, be sure the mixture is thick enough not to fall off the spoon too easily  If the mixture is too thin and like water then you’ll find your will make chalk with a layers instead, which sounds cool too
To make sure the colors appear throughout the chalk mold you’ll need to apply small blobs and drops of colored mixture to various areas in and around the mold
Then add 1 tsp water to top of mold let dry
